Very rude and poor integrity from staff. Refused to return the deposit as they claim they found some dirt on the sheets. Absolutely outrageous, given that it was not there when we left, and that it just looks like some easily washable dust that you transfer from your feet while walking barefoot on their not so clean floors. Staff can't even provide a receipt, so it was probably just pocketed by them. Hotel is also extremely noisy throughout the night and day due to being beside the road and train.

I booked a 3-night stay at Syama Nana due to an urgent Embassy appointment nearby. I always carry a small bag containing Thai Baht for daily expenses, my card, phone and some Philippine money, as my stay in Bangkok is short. During my appointment interview day, I got so focused that I unintentionally left my Philippine money behind. Despite having faith in the integrity of this small hotel, someone took the money. I inquired at the reception, not accusing anyone, but unfortunately, they seemed skeptical and not helpful at all. This incident surprised me, as in my previous stays at cheaper hotels and even dormitory rooms, I had never lost any money, even when occasionally leaving my wallet or cash in the room. My main point in this review is that no one should assume that their belongings are safe in that room, as theft can occur.

My girlfriend just stayed at Syama Nana 3 nights when in Bangkok for business. She had some cash in her bag in her room and it was stolen. Someone had searched her room when she was out. Staff was rude and not at all helpful, even suggesting she made it up.
