Nostalgia is one thing. Lack of upkeep is another. I like nostalgia, however, that also requires proper upkeep. The hotel lacks proper care and maintenance. Everything was old and worn, wallpapers peeling, cheap furniture, and molds on the walls... The only thing I did like was the stone-built tubs and the wooden label and stools. Dinner selection and flavors were good overall, so at least something. I really don't believe this can be considered 3-stars...based on the overall quality and price. Price per room is too expensive.

Traditional Japanese era inn. If you are looking for the authentic experience, such as removing your shoes and tatami matted rooms, this is it. The inn allows room rental for a few hrs to days. In addition, there's a group bathhouse which is cheapest if you don't need a room. This place is special to my heart to know my grandparents frequented here. Its hotspring water is high in Sulphur content.

This review is about the public hot spring. The tub is for less than 8 men a time. What you have to expect is a crowded experience. If you are expecting an affordable deal for high-quality hot spring source , you're supposed to come here. Just close your eyes while you're in the tub, it would be more relaxed.

Old-style hot springs hotel in Yangmingshan. The price was not worth it-we paid NTD $3,100 for a 4 person room for one night. The rooms were dated and we asked the front desk to fix our flickering light although they did nothing about it except offering us to change rooms(the other room was not any better). The hot springs bath was relaxing, but the bathroom felt dirty and old. The free breakfast was simple and small, which consisted of a pot of rice congee and 4 small plates (eggs, vegetables, tofu). Was not very filling. Close by to a Starbucks and 7-Eleven but aside from that there is nothing much else in the area.
