Location is excellent, a minute away from Monastiraki. The room was extremely austere, like a room in a monastery. Bathroom was a mess, it didn't even have a wall shower. And service was extremely poor. when we arrived I realized there was not the controls of the TV and the AC. I asked for them at the reception, and the answer was they were there and we haven't seen them (as we were stupid or blind). Next day, there was another man, and I told him again there were not the controls, and the story changed: he told me the previous guest took them in his luggage. At midday when I returned to the room, there was not one, but two controls for the AC, but in the night when we returned again, there was none!!! When I asked for them for the third time, the first man told me the controls were in the room, and he went to the room, and without permission and in a very bad manner he entered and touched our clothes and stuff looking for the controls. Unbelievable!! We told him to get out. The next day that man, apologize and told us that they removed the controls because they weren't programmed for the AC in the room. Management: You can't enter to the guest rooms without permission and while guests are in the room. It's an incredible violation of their privacy!!!

A disaster. The room was advertised as having a television and my surprise was that it did not. When I told the owner the next day he told me that there was no space for a television, so I asked him why he advertised it that way and he only answered me evasively and claimed that everything else he advertised was there. Also the bathroom was quite dirty, the room was very hot and there is no lift (it was a fifth floor by stairs). The owner was pretty rude too at the moment of the check in Absolutely disappointing, a real shame.

Perfectly located in the center of Athens (next to Monastiraki square), this hotel has everything you need for a short stay in the city. Very clean with a friendly staff, small but really cozy room with a private sink. On the fifth floor, nice terrace with an amazing view on the Acropolis. Thank you Tempi Hotel!

For a one star hotel, we had an excellent stay. We were allowed to store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out for a few hours, there is always someone at the front desk 24 hours, and the room had all the necessary amenities stocked perfectly according to our number of guests. The hotel is 5 min walking distance to Monastiraki square and its corresponding subway station, 10 min walking to Acropolis, and located on a vibrant street filled with restaurants. The balcony also has a partial view of the Acropolis. The only con about this place is that if you are sensitive to noise, be warned that the busy walking street outside does not quiet down until 2-4 AM so there will always be the sound of music, dining, and general merriment that may keep you up at night.
