We stayed for three nights for my birthday. We booked a standard room and were upgraded on our last night due to the window catch not working. They also gave us a drinks voucher and chocolates with an apology note. I would recommend this hotel but there are some improvements to be made to make it more of a 4 star hotel and improve the customer experience. Pros: staff were lovely mainly on reception, the decor and cleanliness of the hotel, the spa, the proximity to the city centre and transport links Cons: there were some strange characters outside the hotel whilst this is no reflection on the hotel it felt very unsafe at night, my boyfriend paid for chocolate covered strawberries and they just sent up a plate which said welcome to the address not happy birthday with it so ruined a birthday surprise - usually when it’s a guests birthday hotels would also provide something like this free of charge, no vegetarian alternatives at breakfast (eg veggie sausages), the broken catch on the window should have been picked up before giving us the room as the window opened completely and someone could have fallen out, very noisy at night could hear people in the corridors talking loudly the walls are very thin.

Stayed overnight, the room was very nice, and had a comfortable bed and a great shower. Breakfast was excellent although they prefer you to leave at 11am, even though they serve until 11. The location isn't the best, the street was being dug up outside and the streets around were dirty. The food in the bar was very good, great pizza although the service at the bar was slow.

Open and Honest review. Stayed 21-24 Jan 2024. Club upgrade room to include daily breakfast and spa access (approx 500euro). The hotel is very nicely designed and the decor is great inside but I just felt that the experience was not befitting of a 500euro 3 night stay. Room:- well presented with tea, coffee facilities and TV etc. Negative :- dirty complimentary slippers and complimentary chocolates were already opened. There were also some choice drawings on the bathroom mirrors, left by previous patrons. We notified the staff and it was rectified quickly and efficiently. The room was turned down nicely each day, but the maids trolley and supplies were constantly in the hallway. Appreciate that the trolley is needed to service the rooms but the trolley was constantly there and it looked quite untidy. Spa:- lovely personal spa, very relaxing space with a good sauna and jacuzzi. Negative:- the changing area is not very large or private. My wife was getting changed in one of the cubicles and it wasn't very obscured.... There was also no cleaning products in the showers of the spa changing. Not ideal. The maid also decided to sit and fold towels while we were changing at 10am in the morning. It's something that should be done in prep for spa open really. Club lounge:- Lovely space, but we wanted to use it on 3 occasions and only able to use once, once the coffee machine was not working and another time the maintenance team were in there doing something. Again, this was 10-30 am. Understand that maintenance needs to be done but timing isn't great as it's marketed as a coffee lounge/relaxing space. We were offered a dinner voucher for the ajoining restaurant, which we took up. Great food but was very slow considering the venue was pretty empty. I dropped the voucher and as soon as a staff member saw it, it was as if we were treated as 2nd class. We didn't have time for dessert and didn't get asked about another round of drinks or any other service. I can't knock the hotel staff for the most part. But frankly spoken, the whole experience was not the premier club experience we thought we paid for.

Unfortunately we were a little disappointed with this hotel. But first off: The staff at the front desk are very friendly and attentive and try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Also the entrance area is nice and modern. The hotel is located fairly central with 10min walking to the town centre. NOW TO THE ROOMS... They're just not looked after. Our first room had mold on the ceiling and smelt awful. The alternative room had a smaller bed than planned and no coffee machine. The bath tub was old, had black marks from where the paint had burst. The silicone behind the sink tap was black. The toilet seat was old and creaked loudly with every movement (I'm 80kg). The AC is very loud even on low and doesn't do it's job well. All such a shame, as this hotel could really stand out if just a bit of maintenance and renewal was done. For the price, is was just not good enough.

Pros : Very nice hotel, clean bedroom, staff at the reception is very friendly aswell as the staff at the restaurant, the hotel is close to everything. Cons : Although the breakfast is nice, the staff isn't very friendly nor helpful. They start closing the tables for service at 10:15, when i asked for a coffee cup they asked me to sit on another table because they wanted to close that area, coffee machine was turned off aswell even though it was still full of clients. Also, the cleaning staff entered our room twice without knocking although the do not disturb sign was on.
