Nice people who try hard, but the hotel is an unimaginative facsimile of luxury done on the cheap by an unsophisticated interior designer and with no apparent soul or sense of personal touch or finesse. If you know what a good hotel is you will be disappointed. If you don't you'll feel right at home. Not impressive.

The Alpina Gstaad Hotel is hands down a jaw-dropping experience from start to finish. The premises are like something out of a fairy tale – think grandeur, luxury, and surrounded by the breathtaking Swiss Alps. Once you step inside, you're hit with this incredible decor that's basically interior design goals. I'm talking chic, elegant, and every detail is just spot-on. Now, the real showstopper? Head upstairs to the lounges, and the view is like a scene from a movie. It's not just a view; it's a cinematic experience. The service here is on another level – top-notch and attentive without being overbearing. Plus, they give you the choice to chill in the bar with some snacks or go all out in one of their fancy restaurants. Reservations are a must – this place is in demand, and rightfully so. The Alpina Gstaad Hotel isn't just a stay; it's a full-blown luxury escapade that you'll be talking about for ages.

We usually stay at the Grand Bellevue but mix it up with the spa at the Alpina and dinner when we visit. I can only speak to the spa and restaurants which are excellent. The outdoor pool is one of my favourite spots to relax. It’s amazing in the winter and kept at a wonderfully warm temp even in the snow. The indoor pool has a small but great kids section. Service is great around the pools and spa, it’s always clean and the juice bar is delicious. The sushi in the Japanese restaurant is excellent too. We’ve tried a number of massages and facials and really recommend the Thai massage if you like Thai massage. It was very traditional and absolutely perfect pressure and stretching. I’m sure the rooms are lovely, we just happen to be partial to the Grand Bellevue as it’s a bit smaller which suits us. Recommend the spa though for sure.

Incredible experience, freshness of mountains and exceptional location, atmosphere and facilities. The outdoor pool is fabulous. We extended our last ‘Babymoon’ getaway an extra night as everyone and the experience were so great - even the owners passion dedication and presence, the staff’s exceptional care and service made the stay perfect. Thank you to all for giving us an unforgettable stay, we can’t wait for our next visit soon.
