A hostel with a homely type atmosphere, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of central Queenstown, but still easy walking distance. The living room is a great spot to hang out, there's plenty of spaces to chill out, and they run events most days. Bike storage is ample too. Happy days

Private room was good size and comfortable, but there was nowhere to hang a towel. Would’ve been good to have a socket by the bed and a lamp in the room. Hostel itself has nice facilities - good kitchen for cooking, big communal lounge area which always has someone in it, outdoor tables, clean bathrooms and showers. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is close to town but a short walk up a hill. There were a lot of long term stays which did make the social vibe a bit different and maybe not so geared towards solo travellers just passing through for a few days, although everyone I spoke to was really nice.

Fantastic atmosphere in an amazing location. I chose the six dorm Rooms that were the cheapest option. And I had a great experience, but space was quite limited. The staff were amazing, helpful, professional. I would recommend black sheep backpackers to anybody looking to save money and stay in Queenstown.
