Arrived and waited ten minutes before someone came out to check us in (we actually had to call the hotel to get someone to come out), but we were kindly checked in an hour early. Clean and modern rooms, and amenities are very basic, but we had all we needed (noted no hair dryer in room, but not an issue for me. Also no coffee maker or kettle). Of note, however, was the complete lack of lamps or dimmers to have any sort of lighting beyond full-blast overhead lights. And the pillows were just horrid and lumpy...I would have been better off bundling up my jacket and sleeping on it.

We had a very nice stay in The Hue Hotel. I was super impressed with the size of our room. Most hotel rooms feel cramped but our room at the Hue Hotel was spacious. We had a king sized bed and tons of floor space. The decor was simple and modern. And the arm chair in our room was actually comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. We were very impressed and enjoyed our stay.

Beware!!!! They don’t give you the room they show you in the pictures. When we selected a room the pictures showed a couch which would’ve been used for the third person in our party. When we pointed this out they did nothing. And this was not a case of us looking at a collection of hotel photos and assuming we got a couch. This was shown in the pictures assigned to the room we chose. Sadly, service here is non existent. I really don’t like to leave bad reviews and the ones I do are simply so no one will have the same poor experience

Title: Disappointing Experience at The Hue Hotel, Kamloops I recently stayed at The Hue Hotel in Kamloops from October 10-13, 2023, and unfortunately, my experience fell short of my expectations. As a regular customer who has always enjoyed staying at this hotel, I am disappointed by the lack of pleasant service and understanding during my recent stay. The lady at the reception seemed disinterested and unfriendly, giving the impression that she didn't enjoy her job. This initial encounter left a negative impression on me. However, the real disappointment came on the day of my checkout. Due to the exhaustion from working in town for the past three days, I overslept and received a phone call from the reception informing me that I had exceeded the checkout time. It was around 11:30 am, and I requested an additional 30 minutes to pack and prepare to leave. To my surprise, the receptionist insisted that I pay a fee for the late checkout. Reluctantly, I ended up paying an extra $20, feeling frustrated and undervalued as a loyal customer. This incident has made me question whether I will continue to choose The Hue Hotel for my future stays in Kamloops. To the staff at The Hue Hotel, I hope you enjoy the extra money from my late checkout fee. However, please be aware that this unnecessary charge has cost you a loyal customer. Farewell.
