A quiet hostel, not big on socialising, which was exactly what I was looking for. Great location with the market, supermarkets and many food places within 2 min walk. Right underneath Santa Barbara and walking distance from the Esplanade and many museums. The micropark with benches nearby has a questionable smell but I never felt unsafe walking past. Reception / staff always available if not at the reception then always on WhatsApp (or all over the hostel, it's honestly not that hard to figure out who works there). They were very responsive even in the middle of the night when I had an issue. They send you all access information (door code etc) in advance before the check-in. Very comfortable beds, high enough to comfortably sit up despite being bunk beds. Plenty of toilets and showers, always very clean. Some people complain about the shower button but the water runs continuously for about 20-25 seconds (not sure if this is the same during peak times). Big lockers in the rooms (bring your own padlock) and bag storage available before / after checkout for 2/3 euro depending on size.

Maybe I was just unlucky but it was the least social hostel I've ever been in. It seemed to be fully booked but I didn't really meet any people in the common area. Common area is adorable btw. Beds have dark curtains so it's dark even if there's a light on in the room. Beds are very comfortable, everything is very clean, there's a self check in and location is just perfect. The city centre, the castle, the coastline, the bus station - everything in a walking distance. Showers are a joke. Half of them doesn't work right if you want a hot water. And you need to hold the button at all times, there's that system as in shopping malls, idk how to call this. But it's ridiculous, in the sink the water is running for a really long time, meanwhile in the shower it's literally 3 seconds, therefore you need to hold it for the whole time.

Very nice hostel! The bathroom and the separate showers are very clean. There is also a common room and a kitchen. A very positive aspect are the curtains in front of your bed, which provide a private space. I would highly recommend this hostel!
