Room was supposed to be disabled accessible. The space between the two beds couldn't even fit a walker, it would never fit a wheelchair. In the bathroom, the bottles of soap, lotion, shampoo, etc. were so high up on the walls that one wouldn't be able to reach them from a wheelchair. Also, there was a bathtub instead of a roll-in shower and the counters were too high for someone in a wheelchair to use the sink. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Liked the desk and the lighting.

The proximity of the hotel to Penn State, Bryce Jordan Center, and the stadium is the biggest perk. The lobby is very nice, but some of the rooms are dated. The couch in the room was caving in and very worn. Bathroom was dated. It’s due for a renovation. We tried to check in at 4pm and had to wait another 10 min for room to be ready-I’ve never had to wait at other cheaper hotels so that was a first. I loved the online check-in and check-out options they offered but because of their new system it wasn’t even syncing to the front desk so I had to provide my information all over again. My expectations were higher based on the website photos & price.

Room was fine; it was fall and the view of the trees was very pretty. Can hear people talking in the hall. Room is fine. The desk had been moved away from all the plugs but when I called the front desk, they sent maintenance up quickly to move out and set everything back up. Carpets were quite stained and definitely need an update. Water pressure in the shower was good. Close to Penn State.

Want to say upfront that I gave four stars for location because it wasn’t near a lot of things not associated with the hotel but, for being near Penn State, it was fine. That said, the hotel was really nice, the staff are very supportive and friendly, and if you can do a conference, they have a nice restaurant, called the Gardens, the lunches were really good. Anyway, have a nice holiday season!
