The room are cozy and clean. Our receptionist gave us room with garden view- amazing experience. But the toilet door is easily stuck due to the size. The shower is spacious results in small toilet. But overall,with iron,hairdryer,toothpaste n toothbrush, my impromptu visit to Rucksack is well deserved 5 star!

Pls enter hotel via Christ church- easier n less walking. Room is clean, spacious, bed comfortable, ac cold enough, water pressure strong. Can refill water at level 1 dispenser. Had a small pool at l1. Walking distance to jonker street n eateries. Would recommend this place.

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location, which is just 5 mins away from the Stadthuys and entry to Jonker walk. It caters to what I would assume are more glampackers, though a lot of it (or at least my room and the 2nd floor hallway) have seen better days and could do with some upkeep. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The blackout curtains really to block most of the light as well. No on-site laundry is available, neither is breakfast. No deal breakers, but useful to know. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall it's not a bad place to explore Melaka from, but it looks a bit better on paper. I also feel there's better value for money to be had elsewhere in the city.

Small hotel (motel is more accurate) with small rooms. Minimalist in every aspect. Pool can be quite murky. Parking is little to be desired. Nice cramped hangout lobby space if you like that sort of thing. Pricey considering the room/square metre ratio with no breakfast. The ONLY upside is the location. Literally a walking distance to major tourist spots. If you don't mind going past the Dutch cemetery at night.
