First, it's not a hotel, rather an overpriced AirBnB in the middle of the smelly Carmel market. The room is in the basement. The lock of the outer door doesn't work, the inner door does. There are roaches in the bedroom and brown stains on the couch. The safe doesn't work. I immediately left this hole. Didn't get a refund.

They canceled the reservation the morning of my arrival with no explanation and no support for finding an alternative. Extremely little empathy Advice to management: 1 - if you have an issue in your facilities, explain the reasons clearly without needing to ask. You canceled 7am by WhatsApp, 8am I asked for an explanation. No response. 19.44pm I followed up to express how disgusting has this been. Then you provided an explanation, although no alternative. 2 - Show interest for your guests, try to go the extra mile and help them find an alternative. Show empathy, it’s not good to feel you wake up 4.000km away to take 2 flights and spend 6hr and not to have an accommodation, suddenly. 3 - If (1) is really true, why did you have other rooms available for those dates at a higher price? If they were available, why didn’t you offer them to your guest? Problems happen in life, what matters is how you manage them.

I had the most amazing experience at Shell House! The building with its many terraces, lovely plants and fountain made me feel so serene and the room was absolutely gorgeous and very relaxing. The location is also ideal, only 2 minutes from the vibrant HaCarmel Market and 5 to the beach. Highly recommended! I'm sure I'll be back in the future.

The Shell Boutique hotel is amazing!!! We were upgraded to the green suite... Wowwww awesome room. The design is amazing, nothing is missing in the room, and the kitchen is full with cookware, pots, plates, wine glasses.. everything! The hotel location is right at the centre of TLV, between the Carmel market and the beach. Lots of Bars and restaurants around. Tha staff were very helpful. Thank you
