The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon

This was a wonderful place to grab dinner and check out the beautiful sprawling fuse of the city at night. They have an unbelievable style sense and it is decorated in a world-class way that makes you feel immersed. Lots of living plans and a very friendly staff that was super fun. I highly recommend this place for a date and dinner !

From the time we began to check in there was issues. We had reserved 2 rooms for 3 people. When we were checking in we were told we only had one room and had to pay more for the 3rd person as well as their breakfast. After 20 mins of waiting things were sorted with the rooms but told the same about breakfast, but we could use the credits allotted to us to pay for the breakfast. This seemed very odd since the reservation was for 3 people across 2 rooms. We were also given some soaps and lotions to take home, but the way we were presented with them made it seem like that was all we would get to use during our stay. After that confusion was cleared up we went to our rooms. The following morning I went to check on what the misunderstanding was with the front desk and the lady working was great. She quickly reviewed my account and cleared the air in minutes (perhaps because she was a new employee that had just undergone training?), which made me wonder why the other staff member at check in had so much difficulty. The next morning before checkout I called the customer experience team to check on my accounts and see how much was left in terms of credits. The staff member who checked on the account let me know that with the package to be shipped my total credits remaining balance was zero. Around noon, we went to check out, and once again had another surprise. As I was checking out, I was told that the package that was shipped on my behalf fell outside of the hotels coverage area thus could not be covered by hotel credits, even though I had just called hours before to inquire about my balance, and this was not mentioned to me. We were already starting to run late to get to the airport and I did not want to cause any more delay so I left at that and paid for the balance. I asked if I could use the remaining credits for one of the robes as we had liked them while we were using in the room, but we were also told that this fell under a spa purchase thus cannot be purchased with hotel credits. At the end, we just left the hotel with a very sour bitter taste in our mouth over the experience we had just had with the front desk staff, which was not up to par with our expectations for a five star hotel.
