What a lovely little find in Clifton, Bristol. Absolutely fantastic staff, very attentive to all your needs, a proper nights rest and a wonderful breakfast service as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. It's definitely felt like a second home.

We stayed here for one night and it was long enough. The reception desk - all staff were all kind and polite. Car park - secure with a metal gate. Room - it was clean to a certain extent but was overwhelmed with the stench of damp. The bed was comfortable and didn’t smell, stain free. There was mould on all of the walls, the curtains, the windows and ceiling. Had a good selection of tea, coffee and sugar, with apples and other items. The windows didn’t open and faced the front of the building, was noisy and could hear adjoining rooms, people walking above us and down the stairs down the hall and outside. Myself and my partner come away from the hotel with a nasty cold of some sort, can’t stop sneezing, runny nose and itchy throat, think this is due to the damp/mould. Bathroom - the toilet bowl, sink and bath were clean but the surrounding areas were dirty/damaged and had mould. Breakfast - staff were lovely, great selection of fruits, juices, tea, coffee and hot food. Definitely a bit small for the hotel capacity but was nice. For the price we paid I don’t think it was worth it, they need some type of inspection to see where these issues are coming from and get them sorted ASAP. If we weren’t in a rush when we had arrived we would have complained before hand. Notable - definitely not wheelchair friendly.

We booked on 15/1/24 at 8pm and arrived at 9pm and were shown 2 twin rooms which were both cold and damp.. One room had no heating at all. The other had a radiator (which felt luke warm) and it had an oil filled radiator, which we were told was broken. It didn’t feel warm at all. We could not stay. We’d have put our own health at risk. My friend is 74. Just read other reviews. which mention mould, inadequate heating and bedbugs! Wish I’d read them before I booked. We were on the premises for 20 minutes and have requested a full refund. The rooms were totally unacceptable. We had the stress of finding alternative accommodation late at night.
