Decent hotel, poor service. The room was nice at first sight, however our fridge was warm and our coffee machine didn’t work. We informed the staff about this but no solution was given. The shower was also not great. The room was clean though, breakfast was good and the hotel is near public transport making it easy to visit Oslo. The breakfast area offers a unique view of the football stadium and if you’re lucky your room looks out onto a hockey field. One weird detail is that towels just kept on coming. Used ones were left and new ones were given so in the end we had quite the collection.

Fantastic breakfast, room was great, the bed was comfortable. The area was noisy and you could hear everything happened outside with other words not so quiet! But it was ok for me!

This is a conferanse hotel. For this purpose, it's really good, but as a tourist, it's a bit outside City center. It has good breakfast and lunch. It's on top of a shoping center, a socker stadion and a subway station, so it has good comunication to the city center. As a conferance hotel, it has a lots of recources as conferance rooms in many sizes, in my case the biggest hold 180 people, and smal down to 20.

Used the app this time for both check-in and check-out, and unfortunately my plans required checking out before breakfast, so didn't need to speak to any staff. Was strange that the app sent a notification saying that I could check-in, but it was actually only some time later that the check-in function was available within the app. Likewise strange when I checked out with the app. I went into the app after I had left the hotel (I think that was between 5-6am while on the way to my next location) and it wanted to charge me NOK 450 for some reason (there should have been no cost, as the stay was booked on points), so I didn't follow-through with check-out at that time. Later in the morning the app sent me a notification saying that I could check out, and at that time there was no charge suggested. The electronic key through the app worked okay, although would have been about exactly 3pm that it became active (i.e. the standard check-in time); which I found a little strange when the process suggested I would be notified as soon as my room was available. So I suspect the "as soon as" line is probably false. It was good to see that there was some degree of cross-over between the two curtains so as to try and block out more light and improve the sleeping experience. However, this doesn't help as much when the window and thus curtains go right to the end of the wall and to the floor, so light still gets through the side and bottom. In trying to get to sleep, the close proximity of the hotel to public transport, specifically the subway, also meant there were regular bouts of extra noise as the train passed. I didn't particularly notice any noise from the nearby main road otherwise. My initial impressions of the bed as I went to bed were that the bed itself was fairly soft and the pillows quite thick and firmer; which I initially found to be an uncomfortable combination, having my head help up and my body sinking. I eventually got to sleep and the quality of my sleep was ultimately as good as sleeping in my own bed. In contrast to a seemingly increasing number of hotels, I didn't notice any USB charging points in the room. Fortunately, I had both a travel adaptor and a portable battery with me to charge my electronics. Unfortunately, my early departure (up at 4am, out around 5am) meant that I couldn't try the breakfast offering, which I usually enjoy at Thon Hotels.
