Not sure why this hotel is receiving positive reviews. Online pictures make it look a lot nicer than it is. This is an outdated apartment building with old amenities, old towels, old beddings. I could write a long list of unpleasant observations but I’ll let what I wrote stand for itself. There are much cleaner and newer buildings in Almaty to stay. I would advise finding another hotel. Last but not least, the price is high, even for Almaty. Much better locations and much better prices exist. Good luck in your hotel search!

Our group was very comfortable and satisfied during our weekend stay here. The staff were very accommodating, adding two extra single beds into one of our rooms that slept four people and were also very kind to hold our bags for most of the day after checking out. Hotel Uyut is in a great location and is the perfect place to stay if you’re keen to explore the central parts of the city. One thing to note is the thin walls- we could hear lots of commotion early in the morning, but overall a very good quality hotel!

This hotel is okay but is somewhat old and is located in an old apartment building. Overall, it seems to be okay, but they advertise sauna, etc. however, the sauna is limited to only one hour. Worst of all, the sauna was not even functional when we decided to use it. The staff didn’t even warn us of this. We came down in our robes and couldn’t get in. When we asked they told us it was closed that day. Very disappointed. Could have stayed in a cheaper place without sauna or in a same priced place with a functional sauna.
