We booked a queen-size bedroom and stayed for five nights . The only asset we had was a small living room in addition to the bedroom, leaving us with a good amount of space. However, the room was not well-kept. The lights did not work properly, the only chair in the room was broken and reeked. The small couch had a huge white stain on it. Overall, the carpet and upholstery did not seem clean. There was mold in the refrigerator. The bathroom smelled like a sewer, and the stench worsend overtime. There was no cleaning person or offer to change the towels during the five nights we stayed there. Another huge drawback was that barely any staff members spoke English. One person spoke a little but did not understand our request for a second blanket. They had only provided us with a small double blanket which did not suffice for two adults. After experiencing the meager breakfast buffet, we decided to stay away from it and asked to get a refund for the additional breakfast we had booked for the remaining nights. They did not refund us the money. On Friday, March 25th, there was a power outage that lasted almost 12 hours which was also not compensated for. Overall, this place is mouch more shabby than the pictures would suggest. You better look for a different hotel. It ruined our trip.

This hotel has a big problem which is bed bugs. Bed bugs bit us a lot. And we had trouble sleeping at night because of these moody insects. This incident completely ruined our trip and the story doesn't even end here and we had to wash and disinfect all our luggage and clothes. Unfortunately, we have one and only bad memory from Izmir, and that is bed bugs.

Its my second time in Volley Hotel, quiet neighborhood, excellent location, delicious breakfast and friendly staff, always paying attention to the guests. Recommending!
