More like 3.5 (rounded up to 4). This hotel has some glamour but under the surface are some serious flaws. In our room, a suite on the sixth floor, every single door had an issue with locking and unlocking. This is unacceptable for a hotel at this price range. The snacks and drinks had no prices listed so unless you check the QR code, you assume that they are included in the price of the room. One final issue is the lighting in the bedroom - there barely is any! The tower light in the corner was unplugged and no outlets were anywhere close to where the light was being stored. Talk about bizarre- it’s like the management wanted people to stub their toes on the sharp, modern corners of the bed. On a plus side- the gym is incredible and the best I’ve used in the area. Hopefully, my issues were isolated to this room, otherwise this hotel needs some serious work to earn its current rating.

The W on South Beach is a really difficult hotel to review based on my experience. Some parts of my stay were amazing, the room was beautiful and so spacious, the view over the ocean really was breath taking. You can also tell that our floor has recently been renovated to a high standard. Unfortunately what let's the W down is the service, a lot of the time during my stay myself and my partner were made to feel like we we're being an inconvenience to the staff. When we first tried to check in we arrived at around 5pm and only one person was working on the checkin desk, around 5 different members of staff walked past us and into a room behind the desk - not one person said hello or even acknowledged us. Even just a comment along the lines that someone will be with you shortly, or sorry for the wait would have helped. During one of our days we met the housekeep for our floor who asked if we were happy with the room, when we said yes she reminded us that she expected a tip and a comment on checkout. This came across as incredibly unprofessional and not the standard I would expect from a W resort. The W get's close, but falls just a little short.

The hotel is definitely not worth the amount charged for a night’s stay. The management of the pool and, particularly, the restaurant is appalling. The staff seem uninterested in their work, lacking professional skills. When we invited the restaurant manager, whom I believe is named Melisa, she arrived without a name badge, failed to introduce herself, and did not provide a business card upon request. In summary, I am extremely disappointed with the service. This hotel cannot compare to the likes of 1 Hotel or The Setai in terms of service quality. It falls significantly short in this aspect.

I had a great stay at W Hotel. The hotel is very clean and fresh, and the staff is polite and attentive to details. The view from the balcony of the 17th floor is really good. The hotel has a restaurant, bars, pool, tennis court, and spa. My wife had a nice massage at the spa. There are nice and beautiful people around. The hotel is located on the first line of the ocean. I would rate it five stars and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the W South Beach, and it was truly a luxurious experience. It was a delightful and interactive experience that added a unique touch to our visit. Moreover, I was impressed by the friendliness and kindness of the entire staff. From the moment we checked in to the day we left, they consistently went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Overall, the W South Beach is a top-notch destination for those seeking a luxurious and memorable getaway.
