Waterfront Hotel

The hotel's location is perfect if you're planning on going go the Raohe night market. The room we stayed in was small but functional. The bathroom has a rain shower and heated toilet seat, which is an unexpected plus! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Our check in was quick and seamless. They have a 24-hour kitchenette at the lobby with a microwave, small stove and utensils. We were able to leave our baggage at the hotel lobby while we go around the city. Just wish late check out was more flexible / without a fee for the first coulle hours.

Booked the River View Balcony Room for our group (for this category - king bed only, no twin bed, can't add bed). There is a decent early bird discount, if booked directly with the hotel. Pros - Room is good sized (2 x-large luggage ok), as is the toilet (electric bidet, walk in shower with bench, no bathtub). Electric outlets are right next to the bed (but out of sight), on both sides. - Hotel is right behind Raohe Night Market (which was still quite alive at 11pm on the Sunday night we went), around 4min walk. - Staff was warm and patient (we arrived around 9pm only), although there seems to 1 staff on duty only, and dishes out directions and recommendations readily eg breakfast. - 1 single elevator to room to serve all floors (easily fits 3 pax with luggage) - Good control / water pressure, temperature in shower, air purifier in room. - Large communal dining area at lobby (easily accommodates groups of 6 - 10). Microwave oven, cutlery, drinking water dispenser (hot / cold) is also available. Cons - There is no proper parking available to unload luggage (small street with fast traffic), worse when its raining. - There is a small / short but rather steep ramp (from street level to hotel), so not quite wheelchair friendly. Step up is about 1.5 step (slightly elevated vs usual). - Breakfast options fairly limited, or 10mins walk. But we did find some surprising options at the mall above Songshan mrt (CITYLINK Songshan Station Store I, imagine MOS burger / burger king breakfast booth carts, with grab and go options), about 10mins walk southeast. - One of our rooms (all same room type, but on 7th floor) seems to have a light at balcony area (that cannot be switched off), maybe the placement of light switches can be better. Highly recommend as 1st night stay, if you have late flight, and your trip is east bound thereafter ie Yilan, Hualien, Taitung.
