We Briza Hotel Chiangmai

i had a start on the wrong foot after the first night. however, with help of the hotel manager, khun Att, and her devoted staff (receptionists, housekeeping and engineers), i had my problems with the hot water in the shower fixed in less than 2 hours while i was out of the room anyway, and it was right before my planned checkout. then, i stayed for 12 more nights and had no problems ever since. each of the staff was very gracious and helpful: during breakfast, the cleaning ladies, at the pool, an even when i encountered bustles and asked them - they knew exactly what they were, they were all up-to-date and well-aware of everything that was going on in the city. if you are interested in thai language practice, they will gladly correct you and give you homework. they will also recommend you on live music bars/restaurants or anything that you are interested of. the complementary breakfast (toasts&jam, tea/coffee) was enough for me and everything was always hot, fresh and clean. the moment you step outside of the hotel (2 access points), you can buy fruits, food, etc. 7-eleven and main roads to catch a taxi (red ones with the benches) are just 1-2 minutes on foot. however, i found myself walking many times exploring the different alleys, getting to know my surroundings, especially if you stay here for more than a few days (which i strongly recommend). the rooms were clean and tidy. the bed and pillows were comfortable. I had no pains or bruises on my body like in other hotel beds where you could feel the mattress springs. two (body) towels at the same size are peovided. no hand towels provided, so you have to do with those two. shampoo & liquid bath soap provided in small bottles every day. make sure to be prepared with proper supplies, since the following are limited: * two toilet papers max * no soap bar for washing hands, etc. i brought a couple of soap bars with me anyway, so no biggy. most of the time it was quiet, but you could hear door slamming and people come and go. swimming pool (ground floor, where the reception & breakfast is) - the water is very cold, but rejuvenating if you can stand it, and once you are out of the pool, it is not cold because of the hot weather and you will get dried up quick enough. i had good communication with LINE and usually responses on a timely manner. definitely good value for the money considering the location. i did not rent a car, but there was enough parking space although when i returned to the hotel at night, it was heavily occupied. there were two parking spaces: one under the sun and one that was covered.
