It is located right next to a convenience store and bus stop. The room cleanings are only once a week, but the rooms are spotless nonetheless. The rooms are smaller compared to the rest of the world, but if you're in Kyoto, you shouldn't be spending much time in your room anyway. The front desk is not staffed 24/7.

The best hotel I stayed at in Japan, probably in the entire world! It's such a comfortable place with such kind people. Even though we had a little issue with the language barrier we both tried our best in each other's language. I will definitely come back. The location and rooms were great. We could hear some noise occasionally from our neighbors, but it was just a noise of them accidentally bumping into something in the bathroom. I would recommend it for two people. They were able to store our luggage on short notice, but we only had two large backpacks. They had umbrellas you could borrow during the rainy season.

Rooms are small but very functional. They provide a small kitchen and even a washing machine on top of all other essential facilities. We received an email that gave us full details how to check in and enter our room because we arrived at late hours Location: 10 to 15 minutes walk away from Kiyumizu temple on east side of Kyoto. We took the advantage to walk to Kiyumizu temple in early morning and arrived there at 6 am to appreciate the tranquility of the temple. Staff is friendly. Only downside I saw is the lobby being very small. I'm not sure do they have space for luggage storage. Please check before you book if you definitely need storage storage on arrival.
