Lovely place to stay, very friendly and helpful staff. Perfectly clean eveywhere. Evening meal was excellent quality home cooked food. Our room the bathroom was a little small but bigger rooms available. For 1 night this was fine. Limited parking but plenty of street parking available. All in all an excellent place to stay. Thank you Wheatlands.

Wheatlands Lodge is located in the best location for its close proximity to all that York has to offer The staff are fantastic. Maz is very attentive and friendly. The breakfast and dinner was delicious 🤤 my only complaint was the room temperature was very hot and one couldn’t adjust. The bathroom shower area was not clean nor the top dusting in the bedroom showed any sign of being brushed clean of cobwebs above both sides off bed maybe a thorough clean and a little more up to date decor would transform the rooms into something more modern.

We had a fantastic stay at the Wheatlands recently. I have no idea why this is just a 2 star hotel (possibly because there is no lift) but I've stayed in higher star hotels and not had service like this. The owner and his staff are outstanding, so friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the food was lovely. You can tell a lot about how a place runs when you watch the interaction between the staff and owners and it was clear that there is a lovely rapport and respect between them. We will be returning soon.

We have just had a one night stay at Wheatlands Lodge hotel in York. It was a very pleasant experience with all staff being particularly professional,helpful and-courteous . I would particularly like to mention MEZ, who was so kind to us when we arrived. Later in the day, she took time to talk to us and ask about our day out. What a delightful member of staff! Another wonderful experience was having our breakfast SERVED to us.. great service instead of buffet service! Our accessible room was comfortable. Please may I suggest that at night time the court yard outside the dining room AND room 21 be closed after 9pm? There was a large group of people who spent time in the courtyard until quite late. We could hear every (often foul!!)word said which was disturbing as we tried to sleep. Well done Wheatlands Lodge.
