We are so pleased with how our wedding turned out at the Wyndham. The view from the top floor event space is amazing. The location was great for our out of town guests. The staff were all super friendly. Our food was so delicious. Their wedding package is great deal for a hotel wedding in the city. We did not use their preferred vendor list but they were able to accommodate us. We hired a separate day of coordinator who proved to be essential. We got some great first look photos on the roof top.

Where to start. Room was pretty dirty as soon as we check in. Hairs on the bed. But the worst was yet to come. We kept hearing an odd noise from under the bed. Next thing we know there is a mouse in our room! Stayed still long enough for me to snap a picture. Was told they would discount my room. Which did not happen. Plenty of other hotels in Boston. Choose wisely

Positives: the location is convenient for visiting Boston. We were able to walk to a lot of historic sites and Boston Square and Public Garden. The cost is low compared to other nearby hotels. Negatives: they charge you $20/day to “rent” a microwave (none is provided in the room), there is also no mini fridge. Probably why their rates are lower, but important to note in case you expect those things. The rooms could use updating, but they’re not horrible. Other: there is loud construction directly across the street, starts up at 6 AM and even has some activity overnight. It’s very disruptive especially if you are on the front-facing side of the hotel. Try to get a room at the rear (odd numbered rooms). This is out of the hotel’s control of course, but definitely something to be aware of.

Infested with mice. I can the hear mice running around the room almost every single night, and have seen a mouse scurry from under the bed. Changed rooms and were in that one as well, even having chewed through a bag. When brought up to the front desk, I was told, “you just have to vacuum,” and was refused traps. Nonetheless, after extensive vacuuming and traps, the mice are still enjoying their stay!
