Would highly recommend this hostel to anyone. The location is very good. Walking distance to pretty much everything (Kind of expected since Zermatt is small). There’s a room to store your ski/snowboard equipment. The included breakfast is very good and filling. The added dinner you can purchase is also really worth the price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience!!

Like everything in this country, it is expensive. But when we ordered a double room we were presently surprised. The hostel had nice, clean and warm rooms. A decent selection of fruit, bread and stuff to put on the bread and fruits. If you are young and not rich, but want to spend a night in Zermatt, you should consider this.

This place served its purpose for young travelers in Zermatt. They had separate male and female rooms which we really appreciated. The view from the room alone was honestly worth dealing with any of the flaws. Very big breakfast included and you can eat as much as you want, but it's the same exact things every day so it did get boring, but it's FREE. There was this granola yogurt that I could've easily gotten addicted to so good. They didn't have an elevator and we had a huge suitcase with our room on the fourth floor. There was no one to offer us any help either. Our only option was to take stuff out of the suitcase and then keep it in their free lockers downstairs. Slightly annoying if you're traveling to vacation rather than explore, but I can't complain. There's a bus stop right next to it that takes you down to and up so you don't have to climb all the stairs/uphill lol, but it's only like a 10 min walk from everything.

Be warned lots of stairs to the hostel!! 20 min walk from the train station with your luggage. The hostel rooms were clean, comfortable and large enough. Would recommend for cheap short stay in Zermatt. Breakfast was good. Great view of the Matterhorn Mountain which was a nice surprise! Some staff are extremely rude, unwilling to help and very judgemental. Please do not hire people like this to run a youth hostel it can be very damaging to a person's mental health to be treated with such disrespect.
