The name Machir Bay comes from an area near the distillery where wild machair (a type of grassy dune) grows along its shoreline. This expression has been matured for four years in ex bourbon barrels before being bottled at 46 percent ABV without chill filtration or added colouring agents, allowing all its natural flavours to shine through.
