The Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Airport also called the Agra Civil Enclave or the Kheria Air Force Station (IATA: AGR) is Agra's only airport, located around 6 km away from Agra city. After its inauguration in 1947, the airport has served as both a civil and defence facility. The Air Force Station which is jointly operated by the Indian Air Force and the Airports Authority of India is one of the largest air bases of the Indian Air Force. There is a single terminal with a capacity of 250 passengers for arrivals and departures. There are two boarding gates, five check-in, three immigration, and two security counters, etc., at the airport. Karnataka's oldest airport is located in Belgaum (IATA: IXG), approximately 16 km away from the heart of the city and is situated beside State Highway-20. Belgaum Airport began operations in 1947, five years after it was established by the Royal Air Force.
