The Belgaum Airport (IATA: IXG) is a domestic airport situated 10 km east of Belgaum city in the Indian state of Karnataka. The airport, also known as Belagavi Airport, is located approximately 15 km from the city centre. It was founded in 1942 by the Royal Air Force. Indian Airlines began operations in 1947.
