Kolhapur Airport, also known as the Chhatrapati Rajaram Maharaj Airport (IATA Code: KLH) is located in Ujalaiwadi, around 9 km west from Kolhapur city. Belgaum Airport (IATA Code: IXG) is spread over almost 440 acres and is located around 10 km from the city centre. The Royal Air Force built the airport in 1942 and used it in World War II.
