Diu Airport (IATA: DIU) is an airport located in the union territory of Diu and Daman. The airport also serves the neighbouring regions in Gujarat, especially Jafrabad and Veraval. Established in 1954, the airport was built while the region was a part of Portuguese territory. The airport has one terminal (T1), which can accommodate approximately 100 passengers in the arrival and departure halls.

About Diu

Diu is a small island situated off the coast of Kathiawad near the Port of Veraval, which used to be a Portuguese colony. It spans 21 km. Although Diu is popular due to its abundance of beaches, it offers much more. The Diu Fort, a significant Portuguese stamp on the region's heritage and architecture, is a renowned tourist site. Another beautiful location is Vanakbara, a small fishing village whose charm is enhanced by the humming of day-to-day activities and colourful fishing boats. The best time to visit Diu is during the winter, i.e. from November to February, when the weather is pleasant.
