Rajkot Airport, IATA code: RAJ, is in the state of Gujarat, and is the third busiest airport in the state. Based on the demands of many Rajkot manufacturing companies, an extension of the runway has been proposed to increase capacity. About Amreli

Amreli was formerly known as Amaravalli. This city has a rich heritage and history since it was first established in the 18th century. Once a part of the Bombay state, Amreli is now part of the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, following the bifurcation of Bombay into Maharashtra and Gujarat. To the south of the city is the Arabian Sea.
