About Surat Airport

Surat International Airport (IATA: STV) is a civilian international airport that caters to the district of Surat in Gujarat and is managed by the Airports Authority of India. It was developed by Gujarat State Government and had two operating airlines before 2003óVayudoot and Gujarat Airways, both of which are discontinued now. Commercial airlines have been operating since 2007 after developmental activities to revamp the airport by the AAI. It has one integrated terminal that acts for both domestic and international airlines. Domestic carriers include IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet that fly to major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, and Bangalore. The international flights are limited and fly only to Sharjah via Air India Express. The airport has premium facilities for travellers.
