We came for drinks and dinner at this stunning boutique property. The bar and restaurant are located in the original building. The bar is beautifully decked out in wood, in a traditional western style, and the drinks were original and interesting. There is a piano playing serenely in the background. Dinner in the next door restaurant was fusion and experimental and did not always hit the mark but ingredients and flavours were good. Service was exceptional throughout.

Far and away, 137 Pillars was our favorite hotel of our Thailand trip for multiple reasons. The room decor and the small, meaningful details (nightly treats and bedtime stories, personal butler, comfy robes and ultra plush towels, etc) really made our room feel like home. Not to mention the design of the room was stunning with no small comfort missing. We didn’t want to leave! At night we enjoyed cocktails at the bar and dinner in the restaurant. The ambiance with live piano and beautifully presented food and cocktails made for a perfect evening. Above all else, we were impressed by the expert-level service. Anne, the general manager, was very attentive and clearly cared about every detail of our trip by checking in with us and getting to know us. At one point I even saw her tending to a cat from a neighboring property, and I loved that she partners the hotel with Elephant Nature Park. This is a world-renowned sanctuary I have been following for a long time and was so happy to see the hotel allows you to donate to their rescue work directly. I would recommend this hotel as the top place to stay in Chiang Mai. We hope to be back soon!

Why don't you have rates for foods? The worst, unquality foods in Chiangmai. This is not my first time but I want to give you another chance from 5 years ago but it's still be the same. I can say that the hotel environment, accommodation were great! BUT foods were so bad, frozen foods, no professionals working here to cook the fresh foods, it was dry and disappointed to show Thai traditional foods. Even for Italian such pizza or beef that you severed, they were low quality and they might keep in the freezer for long. How's this show 5-6 stars hotel representative? I feel you're still let old school chef who is hiding behind the kitchen and cook unquality foods for customers who expected the value that worth to pay. What i got here I can say that street foods are much better!! Very disappointed.. How can you keep your restaurant to run right this? What do you think how disappointed and how they feel about your Thai's foods present, taste for their first come to Thailand?

Booked to stay for 2 nights but an accident injured my knee and decided to stay one more night, best decision ever. Though I was largely immobile and confined to the room, the experience was most enjoyable to say the least. The room was spacious and very tastefully appointed. Quality finishes and decors. The grounds look most charming and calming looking from the large balcony. Food is superb and of quality cooking and ingredients. Pomelo salad my favourite. Service is nearly impeccable, signature of Northern Thai hospitality. Been to chiang mai many times and stayed in many hotels. This is my top favourite, though slightly more pricey. Highly recommended.
