Note that I was a solo traveler (in March 2023), so take these comments in that context. I really liked this hotel. The office is on the 1st floor (second floor for us Americans) and manned during working hours. For me at least, the person I checked-in with was very helpful, very courteous, and mostly knew English (he knew vastly more English than I knew Italian). The building is old, which I found charming, but the shower, sink, toilet, and bed in my room were all modernized and clean. I also had a cute private balcony out a back door that was a pleasure in the morning and evening. My bed was very comfortable, the WiFi worked excellently, and I had none of the headaches that sometimes come with travel such as leaks, loud traffic noises, running out of hot water, etc. Very clean and exactly what I needed for a quality stay. The location, as you can easily surmise from a map, is premium, just a block and half from Trevi Fountain and a few blocks the other direction to the Pantheon. Of course, that location means when you walk out the front door you're immediately innundated by the crush of tourists, but honestly, that is the typical experience you find everywhere in the center of Rome (not to mention Naples, Florence, etc.), so if that's a problem for you then you may as well travel to another part of the world. Would I recommend staying here to others, especially close friends and family? Oh yeah. Definitely.

This hotel is also known as 59 Steps Trevi. The entrance might be a bit difficult to find (I marked it in the photo) as it is right in the center. It is a perfect hotel to explore many sights in Rome on foot. The rooms are simple but clean. The bathroom could use some updating, but perfectly fine for a few days. All in all, a great starting point for a few days city trip, especially from a price-performance point of view.

Great location. Hop skip and jump to Trevi Fountain and other places to walk. Very friendly staff, excellent service. Nice size room. No elevator as stated in their info. Would recommend. Many food restaurants nearby and gelatto stores. The downside was a very disrupting family that made all kinds of noise by slamming doors, loud talk, obnoxious behavior. Unfortunately there is no office staff available at night to resolve the issue. Thankfully when these people arrived we only had to put up with it for 2 nights but 3 days uring the day before leaving. So as of this writing, I don't know what you do when this happens but I will inform the owner when leaving. He was aware of these people when they checked in as they were giving him grief about something.
