Excellent location, clean & modern room and very friendly and accommodating staff. I arrived very late and was greeted kindly and taken care of. Ayhan especially was very gracious and helped me so much with planning my excursions. I will definitely stay in Amara Old City Hotel for my future trips. Highly recommend.

Good location, but different levels of service depending on who's on the front desk. The room was for two people but they only allowed us to have one card, so if the travelling parties split if the person who had no card arrived earlier, they had no electricity and had to shower in the dark and couldn't charge their phones etc. They also didn't allow visitors, who were my husband and daughter (they were staying at a different hotel) to come up for more than 10 minutes, I've never encountered these measures before and weren't told about them. These are basic measures I expect for all hotels so perplexed as to why this was different here.

The hotel area is an fantastic, close to many things The staff is very welcoming and helpful We stayed for 4 nights, it was beautiful, but a crowded area is difficult to reach for taxis because they do not want traffic congestion. Clean but considered modest due to its price
