A beautiful landmark hotel is situated near Historic iron bridge on the Ping river. The main breakfast area is in the old colonial building built 100 years ago. There has Jim Thompson Thai silk fabric store inside near the lobby entrance. Serenity and beautiful along Ping River

Breakfast review: This is a wonderful hotel. A mixture of modern living with a sense of history because of the historic British Consulate on site serving as the restaurant. With that said, for the price the breakfast needs new attention. The avocado toast is commercial avocado. Any cafe in Chiang Mai has better for a 1/5 the cost. Otherwise I appreciate the breakfast including Thai dishes and western. You can’t ask for a better setting.

This place has perfect vibes. It's right on the river and yet you can easily get to Old Town. Staff here are universally wonderful. We used nearly every facility at the hotel - the fitness center, boxed breakfast for early-morning trips, all the restaurants and bars - and everything was great. it was the perfect start to our trip. My only quibble would be the rooms, which could use a refresh. I love the clean, minimalist aesthetic, but some of the furnishings are showing their age.

An excellent hotel in some ways, but quite wanting in others. Excellent facilities, for example the gym, and location but the room is old and in need of an update. Not to discredit many of the staff who actually went out of their ways to make the stay comfortable, the level of service is not quite what you would call a five star level. For example, the hotel could not anticipate the number of guests staying resulting in a long queue at the breakfast and a long wait or when requesting for seasoning, the chef (in black) asked the guest to get it by themselves. Not to mention the mixed up in the tables during service and delayed in the food and drink delivery. Given, the breakfast spread is quite ample, the taste was not as special as the looks. The spa and the masseurs were excellent.
