The structure and building are quite aged. Upon opening the water tap, there arose an odor of sewage, along with a smell of smoke. My recommendation would be to apply a fresh layer of paint in the room. Unfortunately, there is no heating system; only a small portable radiator is present.

I was here for 20 days and I'd give a 4.8 out of 5 for this place. Excellent place for solo travellers and couples. The kitchen area with microwave and fridge are good. The bathroom is very cosy as well. In the summers, they provide a fan which is good and the place is very convenient in terms of getting metro and buses. Supermarkets nearby and overall I loved my stay in this place.

No quality at all, the price charged for the room was too expensive for what they offer, they take only occasion that there is no availabilty in town to extra charge for a poor offer, the rooms are huge as space but old, without heating, toilette old and not clean, no plug in bedrooms, in general really sad...

There is a bed and a shower. Everything in the room is clean. Staff is kind. But that’s it. If for you, a hotel is supposed to be something almost a little bit more comfortable than home - this is the wrong place for you. The floors and rooms need serious renovation. The carpet floors in the corridors look like they haven’t been cleaned for 15 years. For some reason some of the doors don’t open with a magnetic card but with a key (looks like they just tore off a part of the cardreader to put an old-fashioned lock instead). In the room you can see holes from screws and dusty lines on the wall indicating something had been hanging there. The owners don’t even bother to make the rooms look more appealing.

Despite it's a modern bulding, dating from the last decade, air conditionning NEVER worked. In Lyon, a city which facing regularly heatwaves (up to 40° C / 104 ° F) !!! Very poor service from "Appart' City" brand, belonging to "Park & Suites" group. *********** Futhermore, front desk staff seem to be mythomaniac : - the first, an man speaking French with an Italian accent, told me his manager would be there at around 07.30 on following morning. He also precised this manager was used to reimburse up to 70 % of stay's rate, due to the default aircon. - the second told me his colleague gave me false informations. She gave me the e-mail of the Back Office and recommended me to deal this issue directly with the (supposed to be) manager. This last was of course not there and front desk staff is not allowed to give her phone number. Both told me they were supposed to fix definitely aircon but when first lockdown happened in March 2020, they ran out of money. With that poor service (NO aircon, broken fan, etc...) don't waste your money for that society... It would be not a huge loss if they are going bankrupt... ******** I wrote an e-mail to this Back Office and to Appart'City HQ. NONE of them bothered themselves to answer. Lyon Gerland's Back Office did not even read my claim, written in French. ******** (As a native French, I chose to write this TripAdvisor rating in English. There are aleady plenty of ratings in French. I just should have read them first before booking...)
