i love BB budget & boutique in chiangmai. either the father or daughter are always available & are kind, caring & helpful. the rooms i have stayed in are always clean & comfortable. the showers hot & constantly kept clean & supplied with soaps. the restaurant serves delicious breakfasts. and, the price is very affordable. i highly recommend BB & will stay there whenever i am in chiangmai.

The room was fine and very cheap so we weren’t expecting much. There was no window so a bit of a box room which we knew before booking. The only issue was the bathroom, smelt very badly of sewage and the shower hose disconnected from the shower head and wouldn’t go back on so we just showered with a hose pipe. The location was good and air con worked well. They also stored our bags for us when we arrived early at 8am. Not awful for the price.

The room that we have booked is not meant for human to live in. The room was too small that it looks like someone modified a staircase and put 2 bulkbeds in it. We couldn't even open our luggages fully on the floor. The ventilation is also terrible as there was only 1 aircon and no windows. Whatever odor and smell will be kept in the room for a long period, imagined that when 4 persons's dirty laundries layed out on the floor. Besides that, there were only two shower rooms on the entire floor for 4 to 5 rooms. The shower gel and shampoo ran out and no one seems to bother to refill them. The water that came out from the water heater in the shower room also have inconsistent temperature, with most of the time being cold. Worst still, there was no shoes off policy in entire hostel. Meaning to say, when you out of your room to go to the bathroom, you are stepping on the same ground that was step on by people with their dirty shoes. Admittedly this is a budget hostel, but everyone should what they're getting into before they book a nice stay here. However, props to the boss for always being friendly and the location is great as it is right next to the Thaphae gate.

This prison cell isn’t worth even 30 bhat. We stayed in a private room with bunk beds and online the photos showed a nice, light room with a good window, however we were shocked with how bad of a state our room was in. It was fairy cheap but honestly the room was nowhere near worth paying 360 bhat for. First of all it didn’t have a private bathroom, there was 2 toilets and 2 showers for the whole floor. This wasn’t very clearly stated online. Our room and the room next door was separated by a piece of cardboard so you could hear everything. Also the room was so so so small that you can’t fit two standing people at the same time. The walls had stains on them and a lot of damage. The bedsheets were brown and the room had no decoration, just grey empty dirty walls. It literally felt like i was in a cell. We left straight away the next morning and found somewhere else to stay. It’s such a rip off and proper dingy cheap place. Owner could put some effort into making it feel nicer even if the rooms are small.
