On the plus side: Noi, the host, was absolutely brilliant! She is incredibly helpful, let me have a shower and some tea early morning before check in time, was very nice and always there if you needed something. The curtains on the beds are great for privacy, and even the top bunks have them (something I haven't seen in many hostels). The location is a bit further from the old town (about a 15 minute walk), but it's much quieter and there is everything you need around: a minimarket, street food, some shops. The WiFi was great, although sometimes would not work, which is fixed in seconds by resetting the router. The room had air-con, which was very nice. You can get some dinner right there in the hostel, with some basic and very cheap dishes offered, I believed prepared by Noi and her staff themselves

We had a awesome stay in the cm city hostel. The stuff was extremely friendly and helped us with every problem and gave us perfect advices what to do in Chiang Mai. We stayed there 4 nights and enjoyed every single minute. Greets from the German guys Thomas and Alex :)

Visited Chiang Mai in Jan, 2019. Had a very pleasant stay in this hostel. Hostel owners are very friendly and my roommates who are from South America are also such a sweet people. Breakfast is delicious. Will visit Chiang Mai and love to stay in this hostel again.
