The location of the hotel was great. Quite central, and close to the Metro. Check-in was okay. But, for a 4* Hotel, I was really disappointed with the room I was staying in, especially as a Solo traveller. The room was right at the back of the hotel, where there's no light and the double lock wouldn't lock on the door at all. I hardly slept as I was paranoid that someone would come into my room, and the room itself was very dusty. Lighting was awful, the curtains were really dusty and literally falling apart. It was like, the room hasn't been used for a very long time. The mini fridge was empty and it wasn't even on. The bathroom was creepy. It had mould around the bathtub, the tiles were cracked, the heater or the AC don't work and there's an electrical box in there too. Like, it's a maintenance room or the house-keepers quarter. I've worked in 4* and 3* Hotels before. I've never come across a room this weird in my life. The hotel itself, is nice and clean and the rooftop is amazing! The hotel does feel like, you're in a nightclub, with security guards outside, which is a good thing in a way, they do make you feel safe and they're very polite! Victoria the receptionist was lovely to talk to as well. I guess, if you're going as a couple or family, you would have better experience here. I don't know! 🤷‍♀️ I think I had high expectations, as this is a 4* hotel and it didn't meet my expectations. Whereas, a few weeks ago, I stayed in a 3* hotel in Barcelona, and had an amazing experience there, even though I was dreading it.

It's a good decision. This was my first stay after arriving in Greece. I came on the metro and immediately from the reception I received a warm welcome. The hotel is in a central location with warm and hospitable staff, plenty of soaps and cozy rooms. No negatives here!! Thank you for the lovely stay ❣️

They were great about setting up the room with a crib/cot for our young son. The breakfast was very nice with healthy options. The staff were all very friendly and helpful including the manager who offered to assist us in any way. Good wifi also. Great stay. Thank you!

Be aware before booking! -My room was cramped and dark – nothing like the gorgeous photos :( no floor to ceiling windows, just a dingy courtyard with a flickering neon sign. -Bathroom old and poorly lit, had to put on makeup in the lobby -Reeked of cigarettes -Front desk was uncaring to the point of rude when I asked to switch rooms. The hotel was fully booked for a conference, I get it, but salt in the wound was that other guests in my own group with the same booking had beautiful rooms! -The elevators were an architect's joke, right? And the record player was a nice idea, but obviously people break them and now it's just a decor piece that takes up a lot of space in a cramped room. -Positives: beautiful rooftop, nice day manager, comfortable bed with nice linens -Rooms like mine need an accurate listing at a much lower price point. I ended up moving to another hotel, paid half as much, and it was a stunning boutique spot. A note on the location: I come a lot and it's good for walking everywhere, and the metro is steps away, so I was excited for this 4-star hotel treat. It's not the most comfortable for tourists and development here has been shady. Since my room felt like any other budget spot in Omonia, at a non-budget price, with all the pretension and exploitation it made staying here feel even more skeezy. This was a 2-star hotel experience at best.

The Brown Acropol was a brilliant hotel. I had a great experience, the staff were really friendly. Our room looked amazing, it had all the facilities that we needed and the toiletries were superb. I guess the lighting could have had the option of being brighter. The breakfast was enjoyable, they had a good variety of food and being on the rooftop adds to the experience. The rooftop is also enjoyable at night because of the views. The spa area was fantastic. The staff let us use it even after we were checked out which was very kind of them. The location isn’t great but expected for the North of Athens. Overall a great hotel and well recommended for people travelling to Athens. Thank you very much Immama
