This hotel is better than some 5 star hotels in Taipei that I have been to. The appearance from the outside and the lobby does not look the best but the service and the layout of the room was really comfortable and well designed. This hotel is located next to a high-school and I could see all the students playing outside very close by from my window view which feels very strange when you are staying in a hotel. I have never stayed at a hotel that was right next to a high-school before. I was also concerned that it would be very noisy but the sound insulation was surprisingly good and I could not hear anything from the outside or in any other room around me. This is very impressive because even many luxury hotels can have horrible sound insulation. I think the cost is also very reasonable compared to some of the other very expensive hotels that I have paid for and do not feel anywhere close to a 5 star hotel. I am happy to say that this hotel is actually really good and truly a legitimate 4 star hotel. Overall I would highly recommend to stay here if you want to stay somewhere that is not super expensive or super cheap. I feel like it is very difficult to find hotels like this in Taipei so even though this hotel is in a strange location the quality of the rooms and the service make it worth the stay. I only stayed for one day to test it out but I will definitely be back to stay for multiple nights in the future for business and leisure.

From the moment I walked into the hotel I kept being pleasantly surprised. Friendly team, comfy bed, 2 large balcony, nice view, special tea options, coffee, nice soaps, all the toiletries you could need, great breakfast selection, staff even thought about details before I had.

Although the room rates are quite high I would highly recommend this boutique style hotel. The staff is outstandingly friendly and make you feel welcome every day at any time. On our arrival they made an early check in possible and even offered us a room upgrade. We enjoyed the spacious room with a great bathroom and a beautiful view onto the green of the nearby middle school. I was especially happy about the tea set in the room with a clay teapot and Taiwanese black tea leaves. I really prefer the vinyl wooden floor over the carpet floors in most of the city hotels. It is so much more hygienic. Some parts of the room could need a little more attention and maintenance to preserve the good condition of the hotel e.g. washing the the slightly yellowed white curtains and repairing the corners and edges of the bed and the wall. The breakfast is very good with a wide choice of Taiwanese and Western style food. Make sure that you arrive before 9:30am since the breakfast staff with rush to clear everything as soon as the clock shows 9:30. There is no gym inside the hotel but you will easily find gym I. The neighborhood. Evolution Fitness on Fuxing is a good choice where you can train for just 150NT$.
