Beautiful view and lots of green space. The rooms are cheap but bear in mind that they are 2 stars so don't expect much. You won't find a dryer for you hair or an extra blanket. The water was nice and hot and the room clean but tiny . If the rooms are cheap the restaurant is quite pricey. Good food though and they offer you blankets for the outside tables.... I was tempted to take one for our room but....😁 As it is the only place in the area with such a view and such a nice outside seatings, I recommend it. Hopefully they'll be able to provide better conditions for the rooms

I can recommend the restaurant for which we come with our family. I do not know anything about the rooms. But for the location of the restaurant and the food I give 5 stars.

Stayed here for one night . Service was really good . Food was great, but they don't have tea in menu. View was incredible. And if there is wedding it could be noisy.

Finally managed to sample the atmosphere and food at Motel Gilau restaurant, after hearing how magnificent it all is, from various sources. First off, let me say the location is superb, absolutely perfect for photos, selfies, small events. It's brilliantly thought out, to offer as much entertainment as possible, for adults, children and even pets. 10/10 would reccomended. Food-wise, I was expecting something slightly better. We had a burger and a salad. The burger is pretty small, comes with extra sauce (?!) and nothing else, priced at over 50ron. The salad was swimming in sauce, it was tasty and rich, but I'd definitely recommend asking for dressing on the side. Onwards to dessert, out of 3 items on the menu (4, but 2 are just papanasi with different toppings), they were out of one. Now this is a very common occurrence, in most restaurants, but absolutely irritating and pointless, to be out of 33% of your dessert menu, before noon. The service was also a bit yify, but perhaps I'm just used to a certain level in hospitality. The waiter used informal speech when addressing us, which I corrected eventually, by using formal throughout the interaction. The wait was also pretty big, between finishing our meal, and the dishes being cleared up so we could order coffee and dessert. However, it's a place truly worth visiting, for a stroll lakeside, drinks and a dining experience, I look forward to bringing our friends there, too. With lessons learned, regarding expectations.
