Copthorn hotel had excellent service… Especially from Jasper, John, Ignacio, and a young lady that I never caught her name. Constantly helpful and always saying hello as we came in and went out. Stayed 1/19/24 to 1/21/24. Excellent location for a walk to Queenstown downtown. We would stay there again in a minute. The staff really made it and the room was very nice as well. Housekeeping was excellent and we had that each day

06/01/24. My wife, 8 year old daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights from 01/12/23 - 05/12/23. Location is excellent - 2 minutes from the lake shore and a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. Also well away from all the roadworks! Bus stop for Milford Sound coach tours 2 minutes walk away. 10 minutes by taxi to the airport. Reception desk service was EXCELLENT but housekeeping service was hit and miss, twice failing to fully clean our room, even when the front desk staff left a written note for them. Got free drinks vouchers twice as a result. We stayed in room 3209. A bit of a maze to get to but we got the hang of it. The room had a lovely view of the lake and mountains, and was quite big. Beds were comfy and clean. Windows were very clean also. The large wall mounted TV had nearly all the Sky channels. Free wifi was fine. No alarm clock however, and NO air - conditioning - just a small heater and a small fan. Have not been in a hotel before that did not have air - conditioning! Bathroom was ok, although annoying to see single use bathroom products when most are now in refillable bottles. Water pressure (shower over bath) was mostly ok except one evening when it was a bit weak for a few minutes. You do need to keep an eye on the fluctuating temperature, especially if you have children. Would we stay here again? Yes. Was overall a very pleasant, relaxing stay.

As a tour guide, this hotel is "Tops". It's streaks above Millennium and others. Great lake views, fabulous and helpful friendly staff. Nothing is a problem. I've been going there, abd to others, for 18 years. Vera is a top professional lady. G

Staying at the Copthorne Lakefront Junior suite. Fantastic views and large rooms. The staff we met while asking directions to the room, 3 in total where helpful, the place could do with better direction signs. We should have read the description of the room and not assumed. First suite we have stayed in anywhere that didn't have some form of a kitchen with atleast a sink where you could wash a glass or a plate (no plates or cutlery supplied anyway, so don'tbring a corked bottle of red). If you want a coffee be prepared to fill the jug up in the toilet and then wash your cups there. Had a microwave but no plates or sink....would have been good to have a toaster. Funny smell in the bathroom due to the basin not draining. Rang reception twice to be put on hold, ended up going there direct. No alarm clock, tissues etc. Fantastic views only make part of the hotel experience. Just heard back from the owner.....standard response as expected.
