SUMMARY: Great design but lacking basic comforts, we would not stay again and regretted booking. CONS: Uncomfortable and loud squeaky bed, very loud rooms, I’m a light sleeper and it was the loudest hotel I’ve stayed in: I could hear everything going on inside the neighboring rooms and outside my room; toilets flushing, people talking, people walking around, etc. No shower curtain so our bathroom filled with water after every shower - dangerous. Noisy AC unit. PROS: Very aesthetically pleasing, good breakfast and good location, good price when we stayed.

My fiancé and I got engaged on the rooftop here back in May. It was such a great location, with wonderful, courteous staff. The staff helped my fiancé set everything up so that he could propose at sunrise whilst the hot air balloons went up (a seating area with a bouquet of flowers, rose petals, and balloons). It was perfect and such a beautiful spot to get engaged. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Location is great on the outskirts of Goreme so you do not get all the traffic. The hotel grounds are nice with a lavender garden and a few terraces to watch the balloons fly past. The rooms are very spacious and clean. However, “cave rooms” is misleading as the rooms are all build above ground and what makes them “cave rooms” is the lack of windows and the bare stone/brick walls. . Breakfast was “continental” and plentiful. Like many places in Cappadocia, this place has its fair share of influencer/Instagramer, which might end up being loud and rude. Overall, it is a great option for Goreme at a good price

First of all , the location of the hotel is amazing just in the center of goreme where all the beauties and nature is. Rooms are extremely clean and well organized and special and many more. From the soaps to towels to beds and tv and so on ,all set up with your comfort area . The hotel is quiet and comfortable and all the staffs are trying you make you feel comfortable, i also need to specially thank to melisa for her all of her help at anything we needed. Also they are ready to help you for all the activities u want to do and also they tell you what can you do and all the amenities in goreme. So in summary, the moment you step in, you will feel like you have a personal assistant in the city haha.

Our stay at the Design Cappadocia hotel was truly exceptional. The accommodations were fantastic, and the view from the hotel was absolutely perfect. The only drawback was our initial experience upon arrival. The owner went into an extensive explanation, expressing doubts about our pre-booked hot air balloon tour through Viator, suggesting it might not depart from Goreme Cappadocia. He requested details about our booking agency to verify the departure location and even hinted that booking through him would offer lower prices and a guaranteed departure from Goreme. It was quite evident that his intention was to have us book through him to earn a commission. Ironically, prior to our stay, I had already communicated with Sam from the hotel, and the price he quoted was significantly higher compared to what I had secured through Viator. This situation left me feeling frustrated and uncomfortable, as it made me appear foolish in front of my fellow travelers. Despite this initial setback, our overall stay was wonderful, but the encounter with the owner left a sour note.
