Cheap price cheap quality. Ice machine doesn't work, TV doesn't work (and will never be fixed despite the front desk assurances), paper thin walls AND floors (I can hear the water facets activated below me, and people talking from all directions) I literally had to put on a white noise sleeping audio file to drown out the noise. The place smells clean but is filthy. Never again. There are other cheap spots that have working tvs and proper privacy

I went on a month-long trip to Canada, and I visited many places and experienced new things. But this one has got to be the worst. I booked this hotel for one night but ended up sleeping over at my cousin's. After I checked in and got my room card at the reception, I walked around the corridor to find my room, and I couldn't help but notice how dirty the carpet was. With each step I took, there was dust flying around my foot. It was disgusting. When I finally got to my room, I gave myself a tour, and the room was full of dust and rubbish. You can tell from the pictures how filthy some of the things were. Also, the pillow had some blue stains on I couldn't sit anywhere to rest after the 4-hour drive. The smell was fusty as well. So I immediately went to the reception and requested another room. They accepted my request, and then I headed to my new room. It wasn't much of a difference. Except there were chopped nails on the window in addition. How would you feel if you paid 300$ for a single room and a single night? Places like this should not be approved.

The hotel was dirty and the staff were rude and unhelpful. My room had the same sheets that the previous guests had used, and the woman who changed them for me (after I fought with the man at the front desk) said that sheets not being changed was a regular occurence with Housekeeping. There were bugs, alive and dead, all over the room. The carpets were gross, the bathroom was gross, and the hallway smelled like something had died in it. I wish I would have paid the extra 40 $ for any other hotel in Kingston. Oh, and someone tried to open the chain lock from the outside of my room early in the morning. It was Housekeeping. I couldn't sleep after that - who tries to do that when a young woman is sleeping alone in a room ??? Edit since the hotel replied - first knock was around 7-7:30, and that's when the chain was messed with. Second time was 10:15, and the staff member was very passive aggressive and insisted that I had to extend my stay even though I still had 45 minutes to clear out. And as for the sheets thing, the staff member's words were "I hate when housekeeping does this, like why can't they just change the sheets ?", so make of that what you will.
