It was an okay stay, my house lost power and would be out for multiple days in freezing temperatures. So I had to pack up my cats and take us somewhere warm. I’m thankful there are hotels that allow animals for situations like this. The hotel is okay, very dated. Our room was not the cleanest. The vents were covered in a thick layer of dust and the kitchenette drawers still had big crumbs in them. I was not the most impressed with the staff as after I checked in I had two big crates with cats, all of my luggage and supplies for my pets. And when I asked where the dollies are, they just said “oh, we must not have any right now.” Just staring at me. Every hotel I’ve ever been a staff member would offer to come help me carry everything up to my room if one was not available. They did let me do an early check in as my house was 30degrees and I was very urgently trying to get my cats somewhere warm, I am thankful for that! Breakfast was the most annoying part, starts at very early, like 6-6:30am and ends at 9??? All hotels typically end at 10am. That is way too early for people on vacation.

The hotel was beautifully designed but the service there is the lowest grade. I told everyone I approached good morning with no reply back. No one greets you at all. I asked for my room to be cleaned for 5 days no one cleaned it till after I extended the stay. The black lady at the bar is rude and always has a mean face and never smiles. The older gentleman was very nice and helpful. The older lady at the front desk cut me off when I tried explaining the difficulties I was having with my room being service. Friendly staff*. Clean, spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Strange shower knob took a bit to turn on. Building and furniture show their age. Omelet and bowl of cut fruit was good at breakfast. However, the diced potatoes were old (yesterday's?), and the grits (?) were very old with a thick crust on top. And there was no hot water for tea. The fitness room and pool were closed. Free parking. *The cleaning person let herself into our room without knocking.

I was at the Embassy Suites Beachwood Cleveland staying for four days while i had a procedure at Cleveland clinic. From the moment i checked in the staff was rude, didn’t want to help in any way, didnt seem to have anything like shampoo, conditioner, cups or an extra pillow I greatly needed. I was told one was being brought to my room but i asked three times and never received it. I went to restaurant and it took 45 plus minutes for the woman to ask me if i wanted a menu while I was clearly sitting at a table with my family. She then didn’t ask if we wanted drinks until another 20 minutes past. Any time i asked front desk for anything i got told to ask someone else that told me already to ask front desk. I was polite to everyone but the attitude of the staff leaves much to be desired along with room condition. Asked for a manager and no one would allow me to speak to one. Given no receipt on check out. Was told my incidental was refunded back right away . My bank says its not sent back to them yet but when i called hotel i was hung up on by acting supervisor. Absolutely rude, despicable service. I could understand if i had been rude but i was there after a procedure. I chose this hotel as it was highly recommended. I am very disappointed and want to speak to a manager. I don't feel like i even should pay what I did for the rude, ruthless service I received. I worked in hotel industry for many years. The number one thing is providing ultimate guest experience . I feel like i was judged and treated like less then human. It takes a lot to bring me to tears but after surgery and dealing with that service i have never felt so violated and repulsive. I expect to hear from a manager. I was nice to not post like everyone does on google. I want to handle this in a private respectful manner. Is that possible?! I hope your brand is better then this.

Desk staff were friendly and professional. However, we had to move from the first room because of bed bugs and then in our second room we had a drainage issue with the tub and even though we called and let them know about it the first day, it took the next day for me to call again to have someone come up and take a look and resolve the issue. The maintenance person was very friendly and professional and took care of it once he was there, but I didn't feel we should have had to call twice when I told the person on the evening shift what the issue was, and they told me they would make a note of it and someone come the next day. The next day, it was already afternoon before I called again once I noticed no one was coming. The issue I have with all of that is why didn't they have someone on evening/night shift as big as that hotel is? There could always be an issue that needed maintenance. Why should the customer have to wait the next day for a tub to be undrained? The rooms were extremely outdated and needed painting and remodeling etc The beds or as advertised. We did have clean linen, towels etc but the place could have used a good vacuuming and mopping in the bathroom kitchen area. For this particular Hilton establishment being the most expensive I've been in it was actually the worst as far as all of them that I have been in so far. Again the staff at the desk that a phenomenal job, but because of the quality of the hotel itself, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially at those prices.
