This is a "no frills" kind of place where what you get matches the price. One of the side lamps had no bulb in, the other was unplugged, when I plugged it in it still didn't work, I followed the extension to find that the plug at the other end of the extension was smashed. The main lights in the room were bright white LEDs so not a comfortable light to sit in all evening. The sink in the bathroom was cracked but functional. Overall an easy stay next to the eurostar for an early train but I wouldn't recommend for longer stays.

I do not recommend this hotel for those disturbed by noise. Location was deemed suitable, as we anticipated a quiet setting away from the city; however, it turned out to be the opposite. The noise from cars passing, honking, and even people talking outside disrupted our sleep. The price, I believe, was rather high for the level of service we experienced. The drainage also is bad, after shower the bathroom is full of water. No tissue holder also.

Although the hotel was very well located and the staff very friendly, this was still one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in my life. First we were put in a room without side tables, lamps, telephone and the few things the room had (bed and wardrobe) were in very poor condition. We asked to change rooms and were put in a twin room without working lamps. As we were there for only a couple of days more we decided not to make a fuss about it, but on the last night I woke up with bedbug bites all over my body. So I definitely do not recommend this hotel, specially because because although it was one of the cheapest options in the area, it was still quite expensive considering the conditions of the hotel.

PLACE (5/10): Located near Zuid/Midi station in Brussels, the location is good. The room I stayed in was okay, but there were sunken sockets in the bed that didn't work. Overall, it was an above-average room. PRICE (4/10): More expensive than it deserves. They charge Paris city center prices just because it's near the station. SERVICE (3/10): Didn't receive much service, and there was no kettle or similar amenities. ATTITUDE (2/10): This was the most bothersome issue. I initially felt a certain closeness because the staff were Turkish, but they seemed expressionless and soulless. I witnessed a lot of grumbling from the female employee while taking photos for a review of the place. She seemed to think we were photographing her. Strange characters. CLEANLINESS (5/10): Neither good nor bad. ADDITIONAL FEES AND HIDDEN COSTS (6/10): I think they charged city tax, but I don't remember exactly. OVERALL IMPRESSION: I wouldn't go there again unless absolutely necessary.

The room was in a absolutely disgusting state, the second you walked in you got a whiff of mould and dirt. Outside of our room there were drunk and high homeless people, it was an unsafe location as we were only two women in the room. The whole area was just very sketchy and smelled of urine everywhere. The website stated that the hotel is close to the city centre turned out it’s a 30 minute walk, 30 minutes is not that far but walking past that awful area at night was not suitable for two women alone. We were in that hotel for an hour and requested for a refund, we got harassed outside of the hotel 3x. The woman at the reception told us that there is nothing she can do and she can only refund us for 3 days not the full four days even though we haven’t even touched anything in the room as we were scared of catching something. Overall it was a terrible hotel and I definitely do not recommend. The rooms are not at all what they look like in the pictures.
