Location near airport but further away from the town. The period I was staying there, the hotel turned off the air conditioning system. It was a little warm in the night. Can't leave the windows open as it was noisy from all the vehicle movement due to the motorway just next to the hotel.

Everything about this hotel is absolutely fantastic! I have and will continue to go to this hotel when staying in Madrid as between the design and the rest and the excellent food, there is nothing like this in the world. If your a designer like me and needing an inspirational reboot or decompression after a creative deadline, this is your place! Stay here and let great design do what it is intended to do! Viva Puerta America Hotel!

Not impressed with this hotel. It's ok but does not meet my expectations for a 4 star hotel. I would say it's pretty basic and needs some modernizing work and equipment (eg no smart tv, airco outdate). 2 pluses to mention: windows in the rooms actually open and the dinner in the restaurant was absoluetly delicious. Staff is very friendly, even if they mostly speak Spanish.

The rooms were great except the bidet, which we do not use, kept stinking of the sewer even after they "fixed" it. They also are not fluent in English. The staff were not friendly. It is on the outskirts of Madrid and traveling into the city center is either a long process or an expensive one. Having said that, do take time to explore Salvador as it has some nice restaurants and parks.
