Staying in evi's home was really economical for us as there is a smart kitchen attached to the room. We accessed the lights and curtains automatically controlled through the remote. The Manager explained to us every detail we needed to know after entering the room.

A bit far off the beaten path, though busses are close by. Only basic groceries nearby. Clean. Ultra modern, everything is remote controlled so if the curtains open when you want to find the light switch, do not be surprised. The toilet opens on a sensor so turn that off because if things fall from the medicine chest above, ick. Bed is comfy. Standard apart hotel kitchen. Loads of storage space for clothes. If the climate continues to warm, the rooms will need airco instead of the air blows over cooling element fan available now. The climate control today is designed for short cool summers, not days and days of 30c and humid. One cannot open windows and draw curtains at the same time. Quiet. Not a terrible place to stay.

I enjoyed my stay there, which was in the first week of July. The room was spacious and clean with big, confortable bed and pillows. The kitchenette was well-equipped with lots of utensils, cutlery, dishes, salt, pepper, tea bags, coffe, etc . There was everything I needed in in the bathroom. What I didnt' like : -It was too hight tech. There was a remote control for lights and curtains and I found it complicated to use, time consuming and frustrating. Please, change this! It's easier and much faster to switch the lights on/off by hand . -There was no daily housekeeping. That is a problem if one spends most time in the room, as the garbage bin gets full quickly. I stayed there 4 days but I was out and about most of the time, so it didn't bother me too much. -The walls are thin, so one can easily hear noise from the near rooms. Overall, I recommend this place , as it is decent, clean, not too far from Bern center, close to bus stops and Bern Wankdorf railway station Also, it is within walking distance(about 1,1 km) of Wankdorf Shopping Mall.
