I visited this hostel in June. Nice and modern hostel. Location is fantastic. I highly appreciate good breakfast. The shared room was okey, clean and modern. Except a very soft mattress and winter blanket in June where was 30 degrees or even more. Hardly to sleep. The proper lights would be also helpful in the room as there were very small windows.

It's definitely overpriced... No hostel should cost the same as an Ibis... but this hostel has style and what's provided is high quality. The large courtyard and common areas are always lively, but only until curfew. The private double rooms with ensuite are minimalist to the extreme (no hairdryer, no soap, strip your own beds, too few power outlets), but well built and with a great view of the riverside park. Solid concrete walls make the rooms very well sound insulated. The location is easily the main selling point of this hostel, and probably how they can get away with such high rates. All of central Bern is an easy 10 minute stroll from here. The included breakfast includes a wide selection of all the standard continental options (5x cheeses, 5x pork cold cuts, bircher, etc) in high quality. Lactose-free milk was available on request.

Reception guy very friendly and helpful. Tried his best to put us in the same room when we booked separately. Lots of social space and breakfast included!

This is one of the best hostels I’ve visited. The rooms are fairly clean and there is even an included buffet breakfast! My only complaint would be the very very thin mattress; however, if this doesn’t bother you, then great! Toilets are not in rooms (at least for myself), these are in a common area, but due to this, they are much cleaner with great water pressure! I would definitely come back and recommend!
