This hotel books tours with dodgy companies. So you miss a tour through no fault of your own and they refuse to refund you. Great that is. They are responsible. They booked it!! Holiday ruined. Left with nothing to do because of them. They shouldn’t use such cowboy tour operators. It’s gone down hill from 4 years ago too. You can’t get into your room until 3pm. Didn’t happen before. Can only get channel 4 now on TV. Not like last time. Cleaners no longer clean rooms whilst you are there so you have to do it yourself. They now only have water in reception. There used to be goodies to eat. Go elsewhere.

The hotel was undeniably beautiful, offering a comfortable and accommodating experience. However, there were some issues with hot water, leading to an "Icelandic cold" shower on two out of four mornings. Despite this setback, the overall experience was exceptional. The breakfast was divine, featuring a variety of foods from full English breakfast to continental options and various fish choices. The reception service was outstanding, making it a place I would gladly return to anytime. Thank you, Fosshotel, for a delightful stay, and I look forward to the possibility of returning in the future!

This is a fantastic Hotel situated very very just east of the city center, the room were very clean, the beds extremely comfortable, and the breakfast is incredible - many options and all very tasty! The staff are also attentive and friendly The "Beer Garden" Pub in the back is also a must, very cosy with plenty of drinks on tap!

Great location. Beautiful views out over the water. Very basic Northern/Scandinavian/Icelandic room decor but beds were very comfortable. Our room had a tiny issue upon checking in but was rectified immediately. We received a beautiful platter as an anniversary gift by one of the receptionists. Everyone is very nice and helpful when it comes to check in and ordering bus transfers. We will be back
