This is the best hotel I stayed at in Basel. The room was quiet and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, the service was superb! Most importantly, their commitment to near-zero plastic and other sustainability initiatives is real, not just on paper. You will know once you get your wooden room key and refillable glass water bottles. Thank you, Gaia!

The most excellent, friendly staff all around! They do small things that make the world's difference - chocolates they offer, free bus/tram pass and they even packed us little snacks and water when we left for the road 😍 even aside from that, everyone was soo super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Their breakfast was solid 👌 I was a little worried about the rooms being noisy given the hotel is literally across the street from the trains station, which was super convenient for our one day stay. However, they must have amazing sound proof system since it was super quiet and peaceful all night long. Highly recommend!

Fantastic hotel and great value for money. The staff were brilliant, helped with any information and even supplied free passes to use the city teams/busses. The location is really handy and extremely well connected being opposite the train station. The sauna are is a good bonus and the breakfast was brilliant. Overall a fantastic stay. Definitely recommend.

We were really excited for this stay as it had such high reviews online however everything has been disappointing except the location. The room smells horrible Iike chlorine, we told the front desk and they said is just the cleaning smell and it will go away but it never did. We had to keep our window open the whole time in cold December 5C degrees. There was only two small pillows to use. The breakfast is poorly organized and really we didn’t eat much from the breakfast buffet. We walked in, there was no clean tables for guest to use, multiple food dishes was empty, and even water wasn’t refilled. The spa and sauna had no towels or clean glassware use at 6PM. When we checked out on Sunday morning there was a super long queue at the front desk with 1 staff helping everyone at 10:30AM, it didn’t make any sense for such popular time. Overall a very disappointing stay. I would not recommend it.
